Have you ever thought about everything that February brings with it? Obviously, you have Valentine’s Day. Who can forget the Super Bowl? Besides that, it is also Black History Month. Then there is President’s Day. I also would not be surprised if there is something devoted to Elvis during February as well. However, the basic theme of February is love. In (1 John 4:8), the Bible tells us that, “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love”. I know several will be celebrating by taking your loved one out to dinner sometime this month. It may even be to Crestview Baptist Church on Saturday, February 11th at 5pm for our Youth sponsored Valentine’s Banquet. Just sayin’. You might be celebrating by doing something patriotic on President’s Day. Some of us have a Super Bowl party planned for the big game. You might have your DVR set to record a movie or TV show about Black History Month. Then again, you might have one of your parent’s Elvis CD’s blaring in the background as you read this right now. You know who you are! It is my prayer that you would take some time out of your “busy” February and devote it to loving our Savior Jesus Christ. My challenge is that you do that on a day that is not Sunday or Wednesday. Just like 1John said, “because God is love”.

The Youth will be traveling to Mobile, Alabama on Sunday, March 4th for the WINTER JAM.. The cost is $10.00 and we will leave the church at 1:00 pm.
